 So far these are the only two caught but there may be more. A search of our premises has failed to locate a nest of any sort and where we caught them has access to the backyard (for Rats at least). Here lies a dead rat. He’s quite comfortable in his plastic funeral bag thanks to Sentry Market. He reminds us of the consequences of inexperienced children in charge of potentially lethal information.  So I was sitting on my front porch watching Mary’s lambs across the road when a gaggle of her geese marched down her driveway making their usual high level of noise just beyond the sheep. Suddenly their noise stopped and they turned as one to stare at me. They stayed there for a while, just staring at me silently. They were judging me was the feeling I got from their behavior.  The new stove is warming more than our home and offers comfort. The Camillias are in full bloom despite the frigid rain assaulting their cheerfulness. I can smell the Corned Beef cooking in the oven (American Test Kitchen recipe). Soon we will have a satisfying meal and celebrate St Patty’s Day. The love of my life offers a toast to us. Perfect.  My son and his family live in the West St Louis area. There are multiple tornadoes touching down and they’ve been spending time in a safe room. The entire area is under tornado watches.
