Garlic Scapes

 Ever heard about them. It’s the stem part of the flower. You can use it like green onions. It tastes a bit like garlic but mostly the bite part. Tad bit of heat to make your day. Nancy let the garlic go wild last year so we have it growing everywhere. Cut around 50 or more immature flowers yesterday and they tasted pretty good. Taco soup will be improved for sure. Just sayin’.

Signs of Disgust

 Qatar gives Trump a $400 plus jet and he’s going to keep it. He’s averaging a million dollars an hour since he became president again. King Grifter for sure. Over 4 billion dollars richer since he took office. Wrap your heads around that and pass me the tax cuts for dessert. Just sayin’.

New Appliance Time

 Our 6000 btu Kenmore window ac unit has given up the ghost after a decade of faithful service. We have a second unit from Kenmore that’s still working after the same amount of time. Buying a new appliance nowadays is fraught with problems as the new stuff usually doesn’t live up to the standards the older ones achieved. LG had an 8000 btu unit for about what I paid for the Kenmore. Let’s hope it works as well and lasts as long. Just sayin’.
