Five years of presidential overreaching and Congressional collaboration continue to exact a high toll in human lives, America’s global reputation and the architecture of democracy. Brutality toward prisoners, and the denial of their human rights, have been institutionalized; unlawful spying on Americans continues; and the courts are being closed to legal challenges of these practices.
The above NY Times opinion piece gets it right. It may be an opinion piece but it speaks to what anyone who has been paying attention to reality knows to be true. Our leaders are tearing our constitution to shreds, endangering our future and pulling in the bucks. It's that simple.

The government has become openly fascist -- in all but name.
Since we have no power to control the government through voting, what other power do we have? Marching in the streets is fine, but it has no effect at all on the government.
"Let them march all they want, as long as they continue to pay their taxes."

The only effective thing the American people can do is massive, nonviolent non-cooperation with this evil. Non-cooperation by any and all means.
1. The New York Times is a grossly biased and ethically corrupt source. To pretend otherwise is to engage in magical thinking.
2. Quit worrying about America's global reputation and let other countries worry about what we think of them.
3. The liberal media's definition of brutality (toward prisoners) is positively laughable when compared against history.
4. Any federal inteligence gathering agency is welcome to investigate me all they want, but my hope is they will focus their time and energy on more obvious enemies of the state.
5. I support the courts refusal to hear frivolous challenges against these practices as long as they are within the parameters of the Constitution.
6. From the mid 1950's to the mid 1990's the Democratic controlled Congress and Supreme Court tore our Constituion to shreds. Where is your outrage over that?
1-6 That's your opinion. I do not agree with any of them. Zero for six in my book.

You? An "enemy of the state"? It's not too obvious, alright!

One of the most effective means of mass non-cooperation with evil is the non-payment of that unconstitutional extortion known as federal income taxes.
The National War Tax Resistance Coordinating Committee has some good information.
