Vail's method of interpretation is made crystal clear when he writes: "Unlike secular geologists, creationist geologists don't need to speculate about history because we accept the eyewitness accounts of past events, preserved in a reliable written record-the Bible."
So, there is an eyewitness account of how the Grand Canyon was formed and it's in the bible. That's fucking amazing. I've read the book several times and never run across it before. And I like how creationist geologists don't need to speculate about history, because they just make shit up and say it's preserved in a reliable written record. After all, God can do anything, including foist these fucking creationist assholes on us to fill in the parts we don't understand in His book.
Anyone with an ounce of brains knows that evolution is not a theory, it's a fact. Obviously Tom Vail doesn't have the brains that God gave an ant, let alone an ounces worth.
