A Sign of Clean Hands
Orcinus gives us the sign of the day. They wish it would do what he says but we all no it won't. That's gotta leave a mark!

The House of Signs
Here's a story that's bound to make some waves as soon as the MSM decides to run with it. Homeland Security's drug enforcement arm (ICE = Immigration & Custom Enforcement) covers its informant's ass even though they have direct evidence that he's a murdering thug.
Glenn Greenwald has a rundown of the whole story. It is beyond the pail of ice ice baby.

Back in the Swim
Besides the obvious, "I'm back!", there isn't much more that I have to say right yet. I'm still getting used to being home. There's also a "Robert Cray" Fender Strat sitting in my front room along with a Marshall VS65 combo-amp which are getting an increasing amount of attention lately. Life is good, I'm participating in the economy again and feeling caught up in my world.
Before I go there is the little matter of swearing in a congressman and the book he may choose to swear his oath of office with. This is for those of you out there who may support the religious right's point of view, that American equals Christian and that the Christian bible is the only religious book that can be used to take an oath for public service.
What part of "Separation of church and state" don't you understand?
